Yes. Ethical approval by Institutional Review Board and/or Research Ethics Committee is required. For authors from STMU and SIHL, IRB&EC form is available on the University and Hospital's website.

Authors submitting from other institutions should submit/send scanned copy of approval from thier respective organization's committee(s).

The online submission requires creation of an account (FREE) with the Online Journal Management System followed by submission of manuscript as per workflow of the system. The manuscript submission system is very ellaborative, user friendly and easy to use.

We adhere strictly to the HEC approved plagiarism policy available at https://j.stmu.edu.pk/plagiarism-policy/. The journal employs standard prescribed tools (Turnitin and iThenticate) to validate the simalrity index of all the submissions.

Submissions having similarity index equal to or more than 19%, with atleast one match more than 5% are not accepted for further processing and returned to the author. Higher forms of plagiarism might result in blacklisting and intimation to other journals.  

It varies and based on quality of article. A good quality article without plagiarism will be online in two months after blind review process, while others not fulfilling such criteria might take long.

Title page should have title of article, names of all the author’s in order of authorship sequence with thier complete affiliations; corresponding authors complete address including e-mail and telephone numbers.

The journal follows Vacouver referencing style. 

Vancouver is a numbered referencing style commonly used in medicine and science, and consists of: citations to someone else's work in the text, indicated by the use of a number. A sequentially numbered reference list at the end of the document providing full details of the corresponding in-text references.
